The partnership between Lego and Fortnite continues to work wonders. During the State of Unreal event at GDC 2024, Epic has announced that Lego content will be available in both Fortnite Creative and the Unreal editor for Fortnite, UEFN.

Like the rest of the content created by Fortnite users, Lego games will also bring benefits to their creators through the in-game economy. However, there are a few additional restrictions regarding typical Fortnite Creative islands. One of them is that all Lego islands “must have an ESRB +10 rating” for the United States and a “PEGI 7 rating” for Europe.

Meanwhile, Lego keeps adding new games to Fortnite. The recent announcement from the company introduces the arrival of three new islands, Prop Hunt, Battle Arena, and Cat Island Adventure.

Animation is also one of the sections that has received the most attention. On their website, they state that “thanks to the thorough evaluation of Lego Fortnite’s development, you can now animate your game with the control team and the sequencer without having to activate rounds between applications.”

Furthermore, there are more news that instead of Lego, are related to UEFN. As we can read on the Epic Games website, “creators will be able to use MetaHuman Creator and MetaHuman Animator to create and animate non-playable characters on Fortnite islands”.

And not only that: creators will also be able to use race templates to create Rocket Racing islands within Fortnite. We will also see “elements, animations, and Fall Guys beans” within UEFN so that creators “can build their own frantic obstacle races” within the battle royale.
