It seems like we’ve gone back to 2017, when Fortnite was the most popular game on the internet and all the young people in the world spent their weekends at Tilted Towers. Sometimes nostalgia is beautiful.

Fortnite is currently saturated with nostalgia, thanks to the retro Fortnite OG. But that’s about to change very soon: the next big live event in the battle royale promises “a fresh start” for the game.

There aren’t many more details, but the event is called The Big Bang and it starts on December 2nd. As with previous events, developer Epic recommends players arrive at least 30 minutes early to not miss out.

Return to the black hole

The atmosphere of The Big Bang event recalls the 2019 black hole event, which ended the original island of the battle royale and paved the way for Fortnite to constantly reinvent itself with new chapters.

The island has changed multiple times since then; at one point, it flipped, and at another, it simply exploded. It’s almost certain that the Big Bang will involve a similar level of changes.

Meanwhile, players have just under two weeks to indulge in the past, as Fortnite OG continues to reintroduce fan-favorite features and locations (which seems like a very wise decision).

Recently, the game has revisited the icy area of Frostbite and the Battlefield planes that accompany it.

At the moment, we don’t have much more data, but Epic Games has made it clear that on December 2nd, this new update arrives in the most successful game of the last decade… with permission from GTA V.

By the way, GTA 6 is arriving in early December, at least its first trailer. So, don’t miss the chance to read what we know so far.
