It was born as a meme game, but the market has not had the same opinion. Despite being released on Xbox Game Pass, they are filling their pockets with 100 dollar bills through Steam. In just one weekend, they have sold 4 million units.

Since its launch, Palworld has gained unprecedented popularity, attracting approximately 1.3 million concurrent players on Steam during its first weekend.

According to official Steam statistics, as of today (January 22), Palworld reached a peak of 1,291,967 simultaneous players, surpassing the number of simultaneous users of Counter-Strike 2 and Dota 2, with 1 million and 740,000 players, respectively.

All the milestones of a game that was born to be a meme

The maximum number of concurrent players reached by Palworld surpasses big titles like Elden Ring, New Worlds, Hogwarts Legacy and Baldur’s Gate 3.

Palworld, known for its handmade survival genre with a system reminiscent of Pokémon, captured attention even before its release. On the first day of its early access release, it skyrocketed to the top of popularity and reached the third position in number of simultaneous players, selling 2 million copies in just 24 hours.
