Gemini, Google’s chatbot, is about to receive an update that will allow easy editing of existing or AI-generated images. Discovered by Android Authority, this feature is hidden in the code of the latest beta version of the Google app for Android (v15.29.34.29 beta).
Until now, Gemini has only allowed creating images from text messages without the possibility of modifying the generated image. If something is not liked, a new image must be generated with a new message, which can be quite a tedious process. The next update is intended to solve this inconvenience with two new ways to modify the images.
The first method will allow Gemini to understand natural language instructions to modify existing or AI-generated images. For example, if you want to change only the background of an image, you can request it directly without the need to create a new image from scratch.
The second method is more intuitive, allowing you to use your finger or a stylus to select the part of the image that you wish to change, and then to indicate to Gemini the desired changes. This eliminates the need to specifically describe the area to be modified, as Gemini will automatically understand the selected part.

The update promises to be a significant change for users who would like to see more editing options in Gemini. Still in development, it is unknown when these features will finally be released.
