Gifts are great. Christmas gifts, birthday gifts, Easter gifts, mother’s day gifts, father’s day, gifts for your friends, gifts for your family or best of all gifts for you. The thing is though, that list is long and it is by no means exhaustive. There are so many occasions now when you’re supposed to buy somebody a gift that you can end up feeling like you’ve got no money left to spend on yourself. It doesn’t have to be that way, however, because the only thing better than a gift is a free gift and we’re going to hook you up with some of the best sources of free gifts on the internet.
Giving these Free Gifts will make you the Best Friend Ever
1. Free to Play Games
Free to play games might not come in a box for you to wrap up but these days they offer a gaming experience on a par with even the most expensive AAA games on the market. What makes them even better is that the best ones are all multiplayer, meaning you can play together. Free to play games would be excellent gifts for any gamer friends or family you might have whom you don’t to see that often or who you live far away from.
You can become your very own superhero in DC Universe Online or an extra-terrestrial ninja rendered in gorgeous graphics in Warframe. League of Legends is one of the most popular games in the world and you can play it for free. If military action is more your thing then you’ll want to head over to War Gaming where you’ll find the best military sims around at the minute: World of Warships, World of Tanks and War Thunder.

Last year Audible announced that users would be able to give other users audiobooks from their collection as gifts. What makes this feature so cool is that you can send the audiobooks instantly via e-mail, text message, Facebook Messenger, WhatsApp and other services using iOS, Android and Windows 10 devices.
The recipient doesn’t even have to be an Audible user and it couldn’t be easier to do. All you have to do is select the Send this Book icon in your library and it’ll be sent for free. Whomever you send it to won’t need to sign up for a free trial or use a credit card to redeem your gift.
3. Anything you review for Amazon
Many companies out there are trying to get their products noticed on Amazon and one of the best ways to have your product taken seriously ids for it to have a string of good reviews. Sites like Tomoson, Vipon and bzzagent all give you the opportunity to help these companies out by reviewing their products for them.
This one might seem a little underhanded but it is a great way to give people excellent gifts without having to pay for them. You’ll have to look after the product you’re reviewing if you’re going to box it up and give it as a gift but if you can do that there is nothing stopping you. Just don’t be giving anything that gets a 1 star review!
On top of the 3 sites mentioned earlier you’ll also find a list of over 40 websites looking for people to review products here.
4. Freebies from auction sites and online classified-listing sites and apps
Whereas the likes of eBay and Wallapop are designed as platforms for people to sell stuff that they no longer need, you’d be surprised how much stuff will give away for free. If people don’t have time to wait for a buyer or simply want something out of their house giving it away for free will get rid of it quickly. The same principal works on sites like Craigslist and Gumtree.
In fact, this principal is so well established that The Freecycle Network is dedicated to doing exactly this. You’ll find everything from TVs and sofas to plant pots and shower curtains. You can even put in requests for specific things you’re looking for. What are you waiting for?
5. A virtual gift!
We’ve come this far in an article about giving gifts and we haven’t once talked about it being the thought that counts. Shame on us, and our materialistic ways. Well, nothing says it is the thought that counts more than a virtual gift.
With a virtual gift you get to send your loved one what they’ve always wanted but what they’ll receive will only be made of sprites and pixels. You get to show that you’ve been listening all along and you exactly what they like and what they don’t like. You’re just not going to buy it for them. You’ll find almost anything over at Virtual Gifts but for somebody who has virtually everything you should head over to iFlowers.
6. Birthday Freebies
If you want to say it is the thought that counts with something a little more tangible you could think about sending over an offer for a birthday freebie. There are so many on offer that you can pick out something especially for the birthday boy or girl. You can send over gift certificates, free meals and even free Blu-Rays.
By sending over a birthday freebie you’re actively contributing to making somebody’s birthday that little bit more special. If you’re in the US you should check out this list for special birthday treats and our UK readers should check out this list.
So there you have 6 of the best ways to send gifts for free. We’ve deliberately avoided things like free samples or free gifts offered only if you purchase something. If you do have any other great ways of sending people free gifts make sure you let us know in the comments below.
