Google wants to incorporate its artificial intelligence into all its products. It’s normal, it’s called betting on a technology that consumes billions of dollars a year and needs to be profitable. That’s where Bard, Gemini, and other AI names come in.
From complex coding to the most difficult mathematical problems, the AI model has evolved greatly since its humble beginnings.
That being said, Google continues to do everything possible to ensure that Gemini remains accessible and applicable to everyday tasks. In this sense, it seems that the company is looking for new ways to integrate its AI into its own products.
Gemini in Gmail, the logical step for Google’s AI
According to the information shared with PiunikaWeb by Google App Detective AssembleDebug, it seems that Google is testing Gemini in Gmail, specifically for replies.
The company announced months ago its intention to integrate the AI model into existing products and services. Specifically, it acknowledged that the functions and capabilities of Gemini would reach Google One AI Premium subscribers. Now, signals have been discovered in Gmail for Android that show how Gemini could suggest responses in emails.
From the screenshots of the feature in action, it also appears that Gemini requests feedback on its suggestions. The idea is that, with your information, the AI model can refine its suggestions in the future.
Currently, Google One AI Premium subscribers can use Gemini in Gmail to help compose emails. If this feature were to be implemented, such functionalities could be possible in Gmail for Android.
Although Gemini is now expanding to Gmail, many of its features can already be found in other Google products and services. Google Messages is an example, and some users have been able to use Gemini to generate responses in beta version.
It is safe to say that AI is currently one of the top priorities for the company, facing tough competition.
