Google Meet continues to advance with the goal of offering significant usability improvements to users. The most recent of its updates will finally allow a long-awaited action by millions of users: being able to pin multiple windows during a video call to give them priority during viewing.

This is, in fact, a feature that already existed in other applications such as Microsoft Teams, so this new functionality brings Google Meet closer to current standards that are usually expected from work-focused applications.

Improvement of windows in Meet

As Google has announced, Meet will finally benefit from multiple window pinning during video calls, meetings or group conferences, allowing to prioritize more than one user to have greater visibility within the application when a presentation is taking place, or simply, when there are several people who need to be easily seen due to their importance in the meeting.

In addition, this improvement will not only be available to users who use the paid service, focused solely on companies, but it will also be available to all Google accounts, including personal ones. So, if you make a group video call in your environment, you will also be able to benefit from multiple window pinning.

Changes to improve Google’s service

Google works simultaneously in a multitude of areas that its mega-company encompasses, but it usually tries to create improvements in all possible services. In this case, for example, it is a small but interesting improvement that will result in an increased quality of life for those who regularly use Google Meet for video calls, conferences, and communications, whether for work purposes (mostly) or for leisure.

In fact, Google Meet has been receiving this type of changes for a while now, which, despite being small, represent striking improvements for the overall usability of the application. For example, a call tab for the web version was recently added, and it also allowed the possibility of accessing meetings and calls without the need for a link at the enterprise level, something that helps reduce obstacles to holding a meeting when it is not essential.
