Being a cab driver is one of those tasks that has been with us since time immemorial in Grand Theft Auto. In fact, we could perform a multitude of different trades, each one more varied (there was even a pizza deliveryman). However, in GTA Online it was not possible… until now.

With a recent update, Rockstar Games finally gave an answer to something that has been demanded for more than a decade. If you want to know how to work as a cab driver in GTA Online, we explain it in a few simple steps.

How to become a cab driver in GTA Online

The first thing you must do to perform this trade is as easy as stealing a cab. Yes, this is the first and fundamental step. Then, you must go to the central cab stand, the Downtown Cab Co. This is located near the Diamond Casino, which will surely ring a bell. When you make this move, the game will activate the “work mode”.

From here you will start to be a cab driver in the strictest sense of the word. On the minimap will appear a point that points to the client that demands our services. When you pick him up, the game will tell you where to take him to earn your first dollars in GTA Online as a cab driver. That’s it, there are no more mysteries.

You can do this job as many times as you want. There is no established limit for the number of trips you can make, that is, you will only stop when you want to… because you are already bored. However, there is a tip limit, so once you reach this limit, you will not get any more money.

Needless to say, you can buy a cab from Warstock Cache & Carry, so you don’t have to steal one every time you want to be a cab driver. It will come in handy in the long run.
