Few games generate as much anticipation as Hollow Knight: Silksong. The new game from Team Cherry, sequel to Hollow Knight, was announced in February 2010 and since then, we have hardly known anything. Despite being delayed last May, even though it was announced for release in the first half of 2023, Team Cherry has remained silent. Until now.
According to a user on Resetera, Hollow Knight Silksong was rated by age on February 20th in Korea. With a rating of suitable for ages 12 and up, this means that the game is, at least, complete. This does not mean that the announcement will happen now, but it does mean that the game is still alive and heading towards the starting line.
Although there are reasons to suspect that the announcement of its date, or even its release, is early. On April 1st, the Xbox Store officially uploaded the page for Hollow Knight: Silksong, allowing it to be added to the wishlist. Many people took this as an unfunny April Fool’s joke, but the next day, Sarah Bond, Xbox’s social media president, tweeted a screenshot of the game on the Xbox Store saying “who’s excited for release day? #XboxGamePass 🔥🔥”.
Although we still don’t know the release date, it is expected to be announced at an upcoming event, probably from Nintendo, Sony or Microsoft. So, if you are a fan of Hollow Knight, keep your clown paint, because it seems that the end of the wait is near.
