Apple has introduced a brand-new look for Siri in iOS 18, featuring a colorful glow that surrounds the edges of your iPhone screen when Siri is active. This update is part of Apple Intelligence, bringing advanced AI-driven features to compatible devices. However, if you’re not seeing this glowing effect, there are a few steps you might need to follow to enable it.
Make sure your iPhone supports Apple Intelligence
Not all iPhones can run Apple Intelligence, which is responsible for the new Siri look. Only these models support the update:
- iPhone 15 Pro and iPhone 15 Pro Max
- iPhone 16, 16 Plus, 16E, 16 Pro, and 16 Pro Max
If your iPhone is older than these models, you will still have Siri, but without the glowing border effect.
Check if Apple Intelligence is enabled
If you recently upgraded to iOS 18.3 or later, Apple Intelligence should be turned on by default. However, if you previously disabled it, you will need to manually reactivate it:
- Go to Settings > Apple Intelligence & Siri.
- Make sure the Apple Intelligence toggle is turned on.
Verify Siri’s language settings
Apple Intelligence currently works only in English, and you must set Siri’s language to one of these options:
- English (United States, United Kingdom, Canada, Australia, Ireland, New Zealand, South Africa)
If Siri is set to another language, you need to switch back to English and restart your device to see the new effects.
By following these steps, you can unlock Siri’s new colorful glow and enjoy its enhanced AI capabilities.
