How to install iOS 17, iPadOS 17 and WatchOS 10 in its developer beta version

Apple has just unveiled the long-awaited versions of iOS 17, iPadOS 7, and WatchOS 10 to the world. Based on what we’ve seen in the announcement of these systems, Apple promises to refine and enhance our user experience without introducing truly crazy innovations. Luckily, we can now install the betas on our devices by simply following the steps outlined below.
Before starting the process, it’s important to remember that we’re dealing with very preliminary versions of these operating systems. It’s normal to experience numerous errors and for your device not to perform as usual. These developer betas are slightly more complicated to install compared to the public betas, which will be released in approximately a month.
Which devices are compatible with iOS 17, iPadOS 17 and WatchOS 10?
As you may know, over the years, some iPhones become incompatible with the latest available versions of iOS. If you want to install iOS 17, for example, make sure you have one of the following devices:
- iPhone XS
- iPhone XS Max
- iPhone SE
- iPhone SE 2nd Generation
- iPhone 11
- iPhone 11 Pro
- iPhone 11 Pro Max
- iPhone 12
- iPhone 12 Mini
- iPhone 12 Pro

For Apple Watch, the compatible devices would be as follows:

Finally, here are the compatible iPad models for iPadOS 17:
- iPad Pro (2nd generation and later)
- iPad Air (3rd generation and later)
- iPad (6th generation and later)
- iPad Mini (5th generation and later)
Install the beta of iOS 17, iPadOS 17 and WatchOS 10
To install the beta version, follow these simplified steps:
- Go to Settings.
- Select General and then choose Software Update.
- Tap on “Beta Updates.”
- There, you will find the beta version available for download on your device, just like a regular update.
- Finally, tap on “Download and Install” to begin the installation process.
