Wuchang: Fallen Feathers, the highly anticipated action RPG developed by the Leenzee studio, has had a problematic start since its release. Set in a dark and appealing universe, the title has received severe criticism, with only 21% of positive reviews on Steam, based on more than 8,000 user opinions. Most comments focus on the serious performance issues, which affect even those players with systems that meet the recommended requirements.
Can a patch fix all this?
Players have experienced poor performance, with frequent complaints about lag and drops in frame rate. One user expressed their frustration, pointing out that despite not having played many hours, the performance of Wuchang is abysmal. Another shared their opinion on Unreal Engine 5, emphasizing that games developed on this platform can be a hit or a miss, and in this case, unfortunately, it is a miss. Both players called on the developers to release performance patches.
Despite the criticism, interest in Wuchang remains high. According to SteamDB records, the title has reached an impressive peak of 131,518 concurrent players, suggesting that there are a large number of people willing to delve into its dark world. However, uncertainty persists about whether performance issues will affect the gaming experience during its first weekend.
For now, the developers of Leenzee are working on solutions, and many in the community are waiting for these patches to be implemented to improve gameplay. The combination of expectations and disappointments at the launch of Wuchang highlights the thin line that exists between hype and reality in the video game industry.
