Microsoft tends to be very closed when it comes to free ecosystems, and it is not very common to import elements from the competition, even if they may be popular among many users. However, in this case, everything points to the fact that the sudo command could be implemented soon in Windows 11, for the benefit of those who want to have this function in the ecosystem that Microsoft has been ignoring for decades.
Sudo on Windows 44 years later
As explained by Neowin, sudo is being prepared to land on Windows 11. Some insiders already mentioned it last January, but the recent screenshots that have come to light have shown that “developer mode”, in which sudo could be used fully.
