As you well know, today is May the 4th and that means… it’s Star Wars Day. May the force be with you. Or as they say today: May the Fourth Be With You.

Disney+ is the home of all things Star Wars and there has never been a better time to be a Star Wars fan with the release of new series like The Mandalorian and Star Wars: Andor, among others.

However, this 4 May sees the addition of two new series to the streaming platform. Star Wars: Visions volume two and Young Jedi Adventures will be available to watch starting today, Star Wars Day.

While you can watch all the Star Wars films in order, the two new programmes are a great way to celebrate 4 May with fresh content.

Star Wars visions offers new animated shorts with different animation styles, while Young Jedi Adventures is a fun and light-hearted animated programme aimed at younger viewers.

Star Wars: Visions, season 2

Star Wars: Visions Volume 2 will feature numerous animated shorts from nine acclaimed animation studios from around the world. This is the follow-up to the Emmy-nominated first volume, which offered an entirely fresh and impressive vision of the Star Wars universe.

Volume 2 offers an even more diverse form of engaging storytelling with stunning artwork in a reduced running time.

Star Wars: Young Jedi Adventures

The second new programme is “Star Wars: Young Jedi Adventures”, aimed at pre-school and early primary school children – that’s kids to you and me.

It’s a vivid, bright and colourful first entry into the wonders of the Star Wars universe for those who are still a little young for the movies and TV shows.

Set some 200 years before the Skywalker saga, youngsters learn the ways of the force guided by Master Yoda, while the episodes present basic storylines with themes of teamwork, friendship, bravery and more.

The Simpsons: Rogue Not Quite One

“On his way to kindergarten, Homer loses track of Maggie, who hops into Grogu’s flying pram for a hyperspace adventure across the galaxy,” reads a line from the film’s description.

“Taking on a squadron of Imperial TIE fighters, Maggie brings the battle to Springfield in this epic short film celebrating all things Star Wars.” Just don’t expect a long episode, it’s usually no longer than 5 minutes.

The Star Wars universe is no stranger to animation, with series such as Star Wars: The Clone Wars, Star Wars: The Bad Batch and many more.

However, for one reason or another, there are not many programmes aimed at younger children, so “The Adventures of the Young Jedi” is a new proposal that will be worthwhile for those with little ones at home.

If you must see one, make it Star Wars: Visions, as each short is different. It offers a completely new take on the show with incredible artwork and various animations, and because they’re short, you don’t have to spend a lot of time watching the series.
