Paramount has taken better advantage of CinemaCon than any other studio, and that’s because while others focus on promoting what they already have, like Joker: Foliè a Deux or Deadpool and Wolverine, the studio has released a huge wave of news. Among them, we have a crossover between G.I. Joe and Transformers, an adult-oriented Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles movie, and the announcement of Scary Movie 6.

However, the most unexpected, strange, and curious announcement from Paramount has been the collaboration between the creators of South Park (Trey Parker and Matt Stone) and rapper Kendrick Lamar for a new live-action musical comedy whose title has not been revealed yet. It is scheduled for July 4, 2025, so it will have to compete with titans like Jurassic World 4 and James Gunn’s Superman.

Following the legacy of The Book of Mormon

Brian Robbins, CEO of Paramount, has stated according to Variety that it is “one of the funniest and most original scripts we have read and will surely create some fireworks”. Undoubtedly, following The Book of Mormon, one of the best musicals of recent times also created by the creators of South Park, we know that it will be a film that will surprise the audience.
