Kung Fu Panda became, since its first movie in 2008, one of the most beloved and admired symbols of Dreamworks. However, the animation studio decided to take a break from the franchise in 2016, when the third part of the trilogy came out and was liked as much or even more than the previous ones.

But it seems that Dreamworks has had a change of heart and, after a seven-year hiatus, Kung Fu Panda is back with a fourth installment in which Po, the protagonist, will face the greatest threat in his history: a villain who can transform into anything. Based on Eastern myths, as usual in the saga, this time the most beloved panda bear in animation must surpass himself to prove that he is the best warrior. Below, you can see this and much more in its trailer:

A new adventure for the most warrior panda

Po faces a new adventure of unsuspected limits. After becoming the dragon warrior, the fighter is ready to transform into the spiritual leader of the valley of peace. But this peace lasts little when he has to face the Chameleon, a fighter who takes control of all of Po’s previous enemies to use them at her own will.

With a planned release date of March 8th, the film will feature Mike Mitchell at the helm for the first time in the franchise. He is the director behind The LEGO Movie 2, Shrek: Forever After, and Trolls. In other words, an expert in the field of animation but with a rather limited relationship with Dreamworks.

We will see how Mitchell faces this great adventure in which the beloved Chinese panda will once again reach the top of martial arts. Certainly, everything seems to indicate that he will conquer the family audience once again.
