The latest update for Lethal Company, a multiplayer horror game that has captured the community’s attention, was released in December 2024. However, its creator, known as Zeekerss, has revealed that he is in the process of developing a new patch. This recent motivation has arisen after playing Repo, another independent multiplayer horror game, which has led Zeekerss to rethink some mechanics for his own title.
New content in preparation for Lethal Company
In a recent message shared on Patreon, Zeekerss noted that he has been enjoying Repo with friends and that one of the most interesting aspects of the game is the need for multiple players to transport large objects, which adds a layer of strategy and collaboration. However, he also mentioned some complaints about the game’s latency, which makes it difficult for non-host players to use melee weapons.
Among the improvements it has considered, Zeekerss suggests implementing a feature where players can drive a truck between different areas of the game, instead of simply waiting on a loading screen. This idea includes the possibility of picking up furniture and transporting it in the truck, which could enhance the gaming experience and strengthen interaction between players.
Zeekerss has stated that playing Repo has inspired him and he has begun working on version V70 of Lethal Company, writing a document that outlines his basic vision for the future of the game. However, he warns that new content will not be available in the short term, suggesting that fans will have to wait some time before receiving significant updates.
The Lethal Company community may be excited about what is coming, although it is important to remember that, according to Zeekerss, the development of these new ideas will take time.
