NetEase is evaluating the possibility of launching its popular game Marvel Rivals on the upcoming Nintendo Switch 2. Although there are no official confirmations about this release, it has been reported that the company is collaborating with Nintendo to ensure that its hero shooter can perform optimally on the new platform. This is important given that Marvel Rivals was not released on the original Switch due to hardware limitations that would have negatively affected the gaming experience.
Marvel Rivals may or may not be working on Switch 2
Marvel Rivals has gained notoriety in the realm of hero shooters, standing out for its charismatic characters and the intense action it offers in each match. The game has captured the attention of players and has become a recent phenomenon in the competitive video game sector. However, despite the interest, the confirmation of its arrival on the Switch 2 remains uncertain, leaving a gap between NetEase’s intentions and concrete commitments.
During an interview with IGN, producer Weicong Wu emphasized that the team is actively working to adapt Marvel Rivals to the new console. However, while the necessary steps are being taken for a possible release, it cannot be considered a definitive confirmation. This type of uncertainty is common in the industry, where many companies, including Microsoft, have chosen not to reveal specific titles for the new hardware.
Meanwhile, Marvel Rivals continues its development, the first season focuses on the Fantastic Four and new themed outfits are being released, which indicates that the game remains an active project with potential for expansion in the future. With upcoming releases and the momentum that Marvel Studios has in its portfolio, the game seems to have a solid path ahead.
