The ambitious title MindsEye, developed by Build A Rocket Boy, has faced a difficult start marked by optimization and stability issues, affecting its reception among players. Since its launch, numerous criticisms have emerged, including accusations of trying to buy players to give negative reviews. In response to these challenges, the studio has announced a first patch aimed at addressing the main flaws of the game, although it will initially be available only for PC.
Patience, improvements will come
Among the priorities of this update is the optimization of CPU and GPU usage, as well as improvements in memory management, with the aim of providing a smoother experience and exceeding 40 FPS, a figure that has been difficult to achieve even on powerful systems. Specific adjustments are also expected, such as a reduction in the difficulty of the RCP minigame and the fixing of bugs in secondary titles like MineHunter and Run Dungeon. Players will receive pop-up warnings if their hardware has incompatibilities, which could prevent additional frustrations.
Build A Rocket Boy has emphasized that this patch will not be a one-time solution, but part of a broader roadmap to improve the long-term gaming experience. The company is committed to maintaining regular communication with the community and providing periodic updates.
PS5 and Xbox Series X|S users need to be patient, as there are no estimates on when these changes will be implemented on those platforms. In particular, the release on Xbox has been marked by the absence of Update 2, considered the day 1 patch, which has left console players at a disadvantage.
