The highly anticipated update for Monster Hunter Wilds will arrive on March 4 at 12 AM PST, addressing several issues that have hindered players’ progress in the story and the activation of key features. Among the most critical issues is a bug in chapter 5-2, titled “A World Upside Down,” where a necessary NPC does not appear, thus blocking progress. Additionally, there have been reports of failures with the Grill a Meal and Ingredient Center functionalities, which do not unlock as expected.

A major update where we should not expect performance changes

The announcement of the update has generated expectations among players, who have mostly expressed mixed reviews about the title. Despite breaking concurrent player records on Steam, Monster Hunter Wilds faces severe criticism for its performance and optimization issues, which significantly affect the gaming experience. In this context, the update on March 4 is shaping up to be a solution to the inconveniences that have frustrated many users since the game’s launch.

It is worth noting that during the application of the update, online players will be disconnected from their current sessions and will need to download the update to continue playing. This measure is part of Capcom’s effort to ensure that all players have access to the latest fixes and improvements in the game. Although given the success of the game, it is clear that major changes are not needed to remain at the top.
