The popular The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt developers have just announced that they are working on a new game, but if you’re expecting to see Geralt or even the familiar The Witcher title, you may be disappointed.

Huge excitement arose from gamers worldwide when CD Projekt Red announced that they are working on a new game in The Witcher series. However, the next game will begin a new saga within The Witcher series. The game will be starting a new saga and potentially a new title (not The Witcher 4), but they will also make significant changes to the game engine.

The developers will be moving from REDengine to Unreal Engine 5, starting off a partnership with Epic Games. This new partnership will cover licensing and the technical development of Unreal Engine 5 and any future Unreal Engine versions. The main goal of this change in-game engine is to tailor and improve the open-world experiences within the new game.

So far, the developers haven’t released more information regarding the game. We are still unsure of the title, storyline, development timeframe, and release date. The developers were very firm in letting fans know that they’ve just started development, and at this stage, they don’t have a release date in mind.

Although it may be a few years before we get the new Witcher game, we’re excited to know that one is coming. With the major success of the game and television series, we’re excited to see where the Polish company, CD Projekt Red, in partnership with Epic Games, takes this world that fans have come to love.

Some of my skills range from marketing to management and even teaching special needs children, particularly those with severe developmental delays. I am a self-proclaimed holiday nut, taking any chance I can get to decorate and celebrate major holidays such as Easter, Halloween and Christmas, often planning these months in advance! I have a wide range of passions that I persue (as often as I can) such as reading, writing, bonsai, crafting, creating natural beauty products, listening to music and playing games (prefered platforms being PC and Xbox).
