Note: implementing AI in your workplace at full speed is not a good idea
No es responder a una moda, es responder a un problema

The growing pressure to adopt artificial intelligence (AI) in companies is leading many teams to make hasty decisions, starting with the wrong question: “How can we use AI?” instead of “What problems are we trying to solve?”. This trend can result in frustrating initiatives that do not scale, as well as costly tools that do not align with the team’s actual needs.
Let’s calm down
The adoption of AI should not be a response to the trend of the moment. Rather, it should be seen as a tool that only has value if used in accordance with well-defined business objectives and clear business needs. A lack of clarity in these aspects can lead to confusion within teams and distrust towards future AI initiatives. To avoid these pitfalls, it is essential for companies to prioritize recognizing the most significant problems that need solutions before embarking on adopting AI technologies.
In an environment where companies compete to stand out in the field of artificial intelligence, some have begun to rebrand themselves as “leaders in AI,” launching bold internal mandates to adopt this technology. However, this approach can lead to failed investments if it is not accompanied by a concrete assessment of its relevance to existing challenges. Adopting AI just to follow a trend can result in significant opportunity costs, with time and resources wasted while real problems remain unsolved.
Therefore, instead of rushing into AI implementation, companies should adopt a more deliberate and agile approach. This includes asking critical questions about the issues they truly need to address, allowing AI-driven solutions to emerge from a solid foundation of business needs, which could unlock significant long-term value.
