Rather than waiting until a full launch event, Nothing is famous for slowly releasing information about its devices spec by spec over time
It’s a headline-generating approach, but it can be hard to keep track of all the official information that’s been made public. Did it sport a Snapdragon? Or was it a MediaTek? Does it sound like an OLED display to me?
As the name suggests, the Nothing Phone 2 is Nothing’s second smartphone and will launch a year after the company unveiled its predecessor.
The Nothing Phone 1 was notable for its simple interface, its flashing led back side, where luminous strips on the back of the phone would light up to alert you to notifications and other details of the device.
For those who are not very interested in what has been announced, but are eager to get their hands on Carl Pei’s new phone, here is a good summary of what we have seen so far.
Android 14 and huge screen
First, it will have three years of Android updates and four years of security updates.
Secondly, its screen will be 0.15 inches larger than the 6.55-inch Nothing Phone 1, so it will be 6.7 inches (too big for my taste, enough of brick phones).
Nothing Phone 2 processor and battery
The Nothing Phone 2 will be equipped with a Snapdragon 8 Plus Gen 1 and will have a larger 4,700 mAh battery this time and will be sold in the US as well as in Europe. In other words, it’s coming to Spain.
According to reports, Nothing is making the U.S. its number one priority with its next launch, who will conquer Apple’s market.

Release date
The Nothing Phone 2 is coming this summer. Nothing hasn’t exactly been coy about its plans to launch a follow-up to the Phone 1 in 2023. But it’s now official: the Phone 2 is coming this summer.
Nothing’s next phone will have high-end power. Whereas the Nothing Phone 1 was a good mid-range phone under a lot of hype… and some interesting software and hardware additions.
