Fans of Succession number in the millions, as it is one of the best series in the history of television. Even episode four of the fourth season is considered the best episode ever broadcast on TV.

For this reason, before a last broadcast that is going to last an hour and a half, fans of the series already have their crazy predictions about what is going to happen in the series ahead of the final chapter. Here are some of the best ones:

Kendall gets everything she wants

One of the big theories behind the penultimate episode is that Kendall will gain control and become CEO of WayStar RoyCo, but lose his family along the way.

In Monday’s episode, which deals with Logan Roy’s funeral, we see Kendall step up and start making decisions that are all aimed at the same end: to be the CEO of the company alone, to become his father.

Her big enemy is Shiv, her sister, who can get to be the CEO of the company in the United States if GoJo buys Waystar Royco. Blood is going to flow here, you’ll see.

The Roys out, Tom Wambsgans in

Tom seems to be a bit off due to both his toxic relationship with Shiv and his tarnished reputation as ATN president after the controversial election.

However, some fans claim that all of these potential setbacks are nothing more than shenanigans. As we read on Reddit, Tom will end up as CEO.

“Matsson thinks Mencken agreed to an American CEO, but I have a strong feeling that one or both of them don’t want it to be Shiv,” they wrote. “Tom knows ATN, he would be easier to dominate.”

Tom has already made it clear that he will do whatever it takes to survive Logan Roy’s death and if along the way he has to kill – metaphorically – the Roy brothers, this one he will.

Scandal or murder?

Many of the r/SuccessionTV commenters want blood. They want scandal, they want murder, and I can’t blame them. Sometimes, you have to spice it up.

But Succession has largely kept the human cost of the Roy family’s dirty dealings out of it. Sure, Roman blew up a rocket and Kendall accidentally killed a guy in a car accident, but no one has murdered each other for their own benefit so far.

Are they saving a big crime for last? It’s possible that battling egos and greed will lead one of the brothers to make a fatal decision. But, so far, this has not been the Roy family’s modus operandi.

Maybe this is not the end…

Totally possible! Although this is being painted as the end of Succession, everyone seems to agree that ending in season four seems too hasty, at least after a season as good as this one.

There has also been a lot of talk about possible spin-offs, as HBO might have a hard time saying goodbye to one of its most popular series of the last decade. We’ll know soon enough… this very Monday, May 29, 2023 on HBO Max.
