Palworld, also known as the “Pokémon with guns”, has already achieved a great feat: selling no less than 19 million copies worldwide. And the Pocketpair title keeps racking up achievements. The latest one? Being crowned as the biggest third-party release that Game Pass has ever had in its history.
Takuro Mizobe, CEO of Pocketpair, has publicly thanked fans for their reception through Xbox Wire. He also adds that it is “incredible to see millions of players around the world enjoying Palworld”. Mizobe explains that the company takes criticism and feedback received very seriously in order to improve the Palworld experience.
In addition to being a hit on Game Pass, Pocketpair’s game has reached peaks of up to 3 million daily players on Xbox alone. As we can read on Engadget, Microsoft claims that Palworld was the most played title on Xbox during the period of its release.
Part of Palworld’s success lies in its world and characters, which seem to be heavily “inspired” by Pokémon (their resemblance is such that it has even caught the attention of Nintendo’s lawyers). Currently, Palworld is available as early access on PC and Xbox, and is also included in Game Pass.
