It’s widely known that Marvel’s Spider-Man is one of Sony’s great successes in the last five years. Two games and a spin-off about the web-slinger that have been greatly appreciated, with sales counting in the millions. A profitable business indeed.

Now, thanks to development by Bethesda, Xbox seems to have made a similar move regarding exclusivity for its system with the newly announced Marvel’s Blade that we saw during The Game Awards 2023.

However, during the global presentation of the game, there was no mention of exclusivity from Xbox. It’s been a series of subsequent pieces of information and an addition by Microsoft that make us suspicious.

We don’t have confirmation, but we do have clues

According to Idle Sloth’s discovery on Twitter today, the announcement trailer has been uploaded to the Xbox YouTube channel, ending with the Xbox start-up screen. This suggests that the game will only be available on Microsoft consoles, in addition to PC.

Not much is known about Marvel’s Blade, but the initial details suggest it will be a slight departure for Arkane Lyon, featuring a third-person perspective.

Otherwise, the game will fit perfectly within the studio’s tradition with its open-ended experience, featuring the titular character hunting vampires in a walled version of Paris.

The Arkane touch fits Blade like his characteristic trench coat. It’s a mature, single-player action-adventure game where you’ll be able to play as Blade in your own way.

Marvel’s Blade is coming to Xbox Series X, Xbox Series S and PC on a release date yet to be confirmed. We will keep you informed about the game as soon as we know more about it, since more than one here is an unconditional fan of the most badass vampire hunter in Pop culture.
