Disney Plus is a platform where, obviously, you can enjoy all of Disney’s productions. Among them, animated movies stand out, which the company founded by Walt Disney has released over the years. Thanks to it, we can watch classics like Pinocchio or Dumbo. And, of course, also Snow White.

Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs is one of the most important feature films in the history of cinema. It marked the consolidation of animation as a legitimate art form and a unique way of making movies. Beyond the Oscars it won, it became an unprecedented success that propelled Disney to dominate the world of entertainment. And now, it returns to Disney Plus in a way we’ve never seen before.

While we wait for the remake…

As reported by Screen Rant, Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs will receive a 4K restoration of the film, with a release date set for October 16th. This means we can watch the wonderful animation of this Disney classic with better quality than ever before.

But the restoration doesn’t just bring a sharper resolution; beyond that, it adds brighter and more vivid colors that closely resemble the original analog release. This premiere is part of the 100th-anniversary celebration of the studio, commemorating the centenary of the founding of Walt Disney Pictures.

Regarding Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs, while this restoration is underway, a live-action remake of the original film is being produced, directed by Marc Webb and starring Rachel Zegler. Will it live up to the expectations?
