Enjoying a game launch without any errors has become, ironically, a utopia. No one is exempt, and big releases even less so. The launch of Star Wars Battlefront Classic Collection was no different; annoying bugs and continuous errors caused thousands of players to protest the state of the game. Fortunately, there is still room for improvement.
As you may already know, Star Wars Battlefront Classic Collection includes the remastered versions of Battlefront and Battlefront 2. Now, Aspyr, the developer in charge of the Classic Collection, has released the second major update focused on fixing many of the issues that the package had at the time of its release.
After its failed launch, Aspyr committed to fix all existing issues and improve both titles under the best possible conditions. During its launch, there were those who dared to label it as one of the worst launches of all time.
The servers became the target of many criticisms, clearly insufficient and unable to accommodate the large number of players who wanted to try Battlefront.
One of the most annoying errors that this update has fixed is the slowness in loading screens on Nintendo Switch, which now last less. Similarly, server access has been optimized on PlayStation and enemy AI has been improved on all platforms. In addition, button prompts on Steam have been adjusted and corrected.
The truth is that Star Wars Battlefront Classic Collection has a golden opportunity to hook players, especially considering the great popularity of online games. Will its nostalgic charm and unique gameplay style be enough to differentiate itself from competitors like Fortnite or Helldivers 2?
