Some games have an immortal aura. No matter how many years go by, they continue to be considered the best games of each year. Every year. They have a very loyal, broad, and vocal audience that is always eager for news about the game, possible sequels, or, when possible, some kind of port or new content. Because the game, for one reason or another, has become the game of their life.

That’s why it’s big news that Supergiant Games has announced a version of Hades for iOS devices. Although we’ll still have to wait until 2024 to enjoy it on iPhone and iPad, exclusively through Netflix Games, we already have some details about this port. For example, it’s being co-developed by Supergiant Games themselves in collaboration with Secret6, a studio that has previously worked as a support studio on titles like Monster Train or Cyberpunk 2077.

According to the studio, Hades for iOS will be an extremely faithful version of the PC and console game, with all the speed and surprises we’re used to in Hades. One of the most noteworthy aspects is that it will feature fully customizable touch controls designed specifically for this port. However, for those who want an experience closer to the original, they’ll also be able to use a wireless Bluetooth controller to play it as if it were a console.

Other things they’ve confirmed are that it will allow saving game progress in the cloud and will have its own achievements. Unfortunately, saved game files won’t be shareable with other versions of the game.

Apart from that, Hades doesn’t have a specific release date beyond 2024. Additionally, at least for the time being, it will be exclusive to Netflix on iOS, so it won’t be available for purchase on the App Store or Android platforms.
