Many may not know her name at first, but they do know her art and drawings. Mutsumi Inomata, a Japanese artist and animator, passed away unexpectedly on March 10th. The creative is mainly known for her work as the main designer in many of the Tales of series installments, produced by Bandai Namco.
Inomata started working within Tales of with Tales of Destiny, a title from 1997. Later, she became the main designer of the saga until Tales of Graces in 2009. Her creative work is also present in Tales of Berseria and Tales of Crestoria, the mobile game. Other titles she participated in are Windaria, Plawres Sanshiro, Future GPX Cyber Formula, Brain Powerd and Tekken.
Inomata’s younger sister has been in charge of communicating the sad news through a post on X. Her fans and Tales of enthusiasts have mourned the early death of Inomata on social media, thanking her for her contribution to the saga.
