We have been dealing with some back and forth about the new iPhone SE 4 for quite some time. From the first rumors, over a year ago, to the various delays and its apparent cancellation, along with all kinds of designs, the information has been scarce but quite contradictory. However, recently, the idea of a significantly redesigned design is gaining strength, and now, the alleged CAD designs have been leaked.
The best of an iPhone 14, in a very attractive phone
The design of the highly anticipated fourth-generation iPhone SE looks like this in a series of renders shared by 91Mobiles. According to the images, this new iPhone SE would feature a full 6.1-inch display with the notch at the top to house the TrueDepth camera system for Face ID, flat edges, and a USB-C port replacing the traditional Lightning connector. A significant advancement compared to the current iPhone SE, which has curved edges, a 4.7-inch display, a home button with Touch ID, and rather pronounced bezels, by current standards.
The new model, with dimensions almost identical to those of the iPhone 14 —147mm tall, 71.5mm wide, and 7.7mm thick—, suggests that Apple is ready to standardize the design of all iPhones. Beyond the physical proportions, these designs —if we consider them valid— confirm that, although it maintains a single rear camera, the iPhone SE 4 will come with Face ID authentication and a 6.1-inch OLED display, a home button, and the mentioned USB-C port.
Although 91Mobiles has shown accuracy in previous leaks about Apple products, it remains to be seen if these renders will be completely accurate. The expectation around the launch of the fourth-generation iPhone SE is high, we will see if it is one of the surprises that await us this week.
