There is no greater mass phenomenon in modern anime than Attack on Titan. No other anime has managed to break the barrier between the most hardcore fans of the medium and pop culture as Isayama’s work has done. That’s why the end of the anime is eagerly anticipated with a mix of excitement and fear. These final episodes will be a generational event, and on top of it all, we don’t have a release date. Just an approximate timeframe. Until now.
We knew that their goal was to release the final episodes of the series at some point in the fall of 2023. This means that their release window would extend from early October to late December, without a specific date. It wasn’t even certain that they would be able to meet this timeframe with absolute certainty, as other delays or issues could arise during the production of the finale. But now, a specific date has been confirmed. Attack on Titan: The Final Season Part 3 (Part 2) will premiere on November 4th.
This is great news because the series has experienced a significant delay. Originally scheduled to air earlier in the year, various issues on the part of MAPPA, the studio responsible for the anime, forced them to postpone the release of the highly anticipated anime finale.
While the series will be broadcast on television only in Japan, via the NHK channel, viewers worldwide will be able to watch it through Crunchyroll, just like the rest of the series. This means that there will be no reason for anyone to miss the conclusion of this anime that has left a mark on an era. And, at last, we now know when we can start watching the beginning of its end.
