The first images of The Electric State, the film by the Russo Brothers for Netflix, have arrived

Netflix has just revealed the first images of its ambitious science fiction movie The Electric State, directed by the renowned Russo brothers and starring Millie Bobby Brown and Chris Pratt. This anticipated film, which is shaping up to be the most expensive production in the platform’s history, will arrive in 2025 and is already generating mixed reactions among fans.

Based on the comic by Swedish artist Simon Stålenhag, The Electric State transports us to an alternative version of the 90s, where technology has radically altered the world following a technological disaster. In this context, Michelle (played by Millie Bobby Brown), an orphaned teenager, embarks on a journey through the southwestern United States with a robot named Cosmo. During her journey, the protagonist discovers that her brother, whom she believed to be dead, is alive and controls Cosmo, unleashing a series of unexpected events.

The script is handled by Christopher Markus and Stephen McFeely, the minds behind hits like Avengers: Endgame, ensuring a narrative full of twists and action. Although the story closely follows the plot of the original comic, Netflix has made some modifications to give it a broader focus, exploring themes such as artificial intelligence, the war between humans and machines, and the nature of humanity in a world devastated by technology.
