Tinder has launched “Share My Date”, a feature that allows users to share the details of their dates directly from the app, making it easier to communicate their plans to friends and family. According to TechCrunch, this new feature is inspired by the fact that 51% of singles under 30 share the details of their dates with friends before meeting them.
Announced this Monday, this new feature of Tinder allows you to send a link that includes information about your date, such as the person’s name, the meeting place, the date and time of the appointment, along with the option to add a personal note. The links are editable and can be sent up to 30 days before the appointment.
These links are visible to all recipients, even those who are not Tinder users. Friends with Tinder accounts can see the complete profile of the match, but they cannot interact with it. Non-users will see a limited version of the profile in their browser.

Tinder aims to create a safe and respectful dating experience by allowing users to quickly and easily share basic information with their close circles. In addition, the links expire after a certain time to discourage users from sharing them on social media. “Share My Date” will be launched in several countries in the coming months, including United States, United Kingdom, Australia, Canada, Spain, and India, among others.
This release comes at a time when dating apps are experiencing slower growth. In January, there were approximately 12.7 million installations of this type of apps in the United States, representing an increase of only 2.38%, compared to the 16% growth experienced last year. Additionally, in the fourth quarter of 2023, the total number of paying Tinder customers decreased by 8% year-on-year, reaching 10 million.
