CCP Games has launched a new free trial period for its space survival MMO, EVE Frontier, which started on June 27 and will end on July 7. Interested players can register on the EVE Frontier website to participate in this unique experience focused on modulation and modifications within the game.
A game with an economy that aims to be entirely real
EVE Frontier presents itself as a laboratory to experiment with features and concepts that are too risky to implement in EVE Online, which has been operational for 23 years. Unlike other games in the genre, Frontier uses blockchain technology in its infrastructure, allowing for dynamic moderation and preventing cheats like god mode, thanks to coded rules.
One of the most notable features of EVE Frontier is its support for real-time modifications, which means that players can implement changes that affect all players simultaneously while the game is running. This has led to innovative examples, such as a PvP matchmaking system and a 4X simulator within the game itself.
Additionally, EVE Frontier is being designed to attract a broader audience, being more accessible than other modding games like Roblox. This approach aims to reduce the monetization aggressiveness associated with many current titles, allowing for a more friendly gaming experience for everyone. Future updates are anticipated, including a more cinematic camera for combat actions, which could capture players’ attention even more.
With its current early access status, EVE Frontier is constantly evolving, with multiple modifications and server changes planned before its official launch. Players who are interested in this unique MMO experiment can register without commitments until July 7 and explore a truly innovative gaming experience.
