League of Legends is a game that refuses to die. It has always remained popular among a specific niche of players, and since the release of Arcane, it has experienced a particular resurgence. There’s a new interest from an audience that was previously indifferent to the game and its universe. However, this hasn’t changed anything about League of Legends, except that now, it has even more eyes watching what they do. This includes the many universes within the game.

One unique aspect of League of Legends is that it exists within a multiverse. In each of its universes, all the characters are present, but in different forms that fit their respective worlds. Riot has historically utilized this concept to create various skins for the characters and even to form musical groups.

It all started with Pentakill, a group that released several quite respectable metal albums. This trend continued with the hip-hop group True Damage, which, while successful, was overshadowed by the sensation caused by the female K-pop group known as K/DA. This success is now being attempted to be replicated with a K-pop boy band named Heartsteel.

This band is composed of six of the game’s most popular male characters: Kayn, Ezreal, Aphelios, Yone, K’Sante, and Sett. They have been given an urban, contemporary aesthetic, aiming to captivate the K-pop audience. This might be easy for them, especially since Ezreal, who will be the lead vocalist, is voiced by Baekhyun, known for being a member of EXO and SuperM.

The other members of the group are also relatively unknown. Tobi Lou, ØZI, and Carl Scruby provide the voices for K’Sant, Sett, and Kayn, respectively. They have put their all into making this a success, much like their female counterpart, K/DA, was. That’s why we will be eagerly anticipating the release of their first single, “Paranoia,” on October 23.
