Many people don’t know that the creators of the famous League of Legends released a shooting game in 2020 in the purest Counter Strike style, it was called Valorant and today it gathers millions of players worldwide.

Well, Riot Games has revealed Clove, the next agent coming to Valorant as part of Episode 8, Act II. This character brings with them incredible “post-death” abilities that offer players a way to defend themselves after dying, continuing Riot’s trend of adding new game-changing agents to Valorant.

Clove is a non-binary immortal from Scotland who fits the controller archetype in Valorant. The fact that Clove is immortal plays in favor of their abilities, as some of them work once Clove’s heart stops beating.

What skills do we have once we die in Valorant

One of them is Ruse, which allows Clove to establish clouds that block the line of sight of other players anywhere on the map; this can be done during active gameplay or after death.

Interference is an ability that launches a fragment of immortality essence that applies a decay disadvantage to any agent within its area of effect, while Reload can be used on dead enemy agents to gain a temporary boost of haste and health.

And Clove’s best ability is their ultimate ability: Not Dead Yet. As the name suggests, Not Dead Yet resurrects Clove if they are killed; if players don’t want to die again, they will have to get or help kill someone within the next 12 seconds after their respawn.

“The optimal gameplay of Clove consists of playing with fire: you have to take risks and change your own life for a greater good to eliminate enemy utility in the round by killing opponents to succeed,” explained gameplay designer Dan Hardison.
