These days the G-CON (Global Game Exhibition G-Star 2024) has been held in Korea, an event also attended by Naoki Hamaguchi and Yoshinori Kitase, the respective director and producer of Final Fantasy VII Remake.
According to VGC, Hamaguchi and Kitase explained during G-CON 2024 that the plot of Final Fantasy VII Part 3 is already complete and that the game has entered full development. Although they did not provide many more details, Kitase clarified that in “Final Fantasy VII Rebirth offered a vast map, but in the third game, the Highwind will appear, so we have to allow experiencing the world from a higher perspective. They also explained that “We will not cheat with the airship system, but will face it head-on so that players can fly freely across the map.”
The anticipation for this final part continues to grow, especially after the statements from its developers. Hamaguchi himself stated earlier this year that he is confident it will become one of the “most beloved and popular games in the entire history of video games.” Although we do not know its release date, we are sure that we still have a long wait ahead of us.
