If the ways of the Lord are inscrutable, so are those of the producers. Generally, for a series to succeed, it is necessary to give it publicity, make sure that the public knows about its existence, and work on its presence on social networks. Something that is rarely done. But Paramount’s latest case goes far beyond all that.

Paramount has completely surprised us by releasing the first six episodes of Ark: The Animated Series, the series based on the video game Ark: Survival Evolved. Divided into two parts, the other seven episodes of the first season will be released on an as-yet-unannounced date.

To make things even stranger, this only applies to the US and Canada. For the rest of the world, we will have to wait until April 19th for the premiere of the first part of the first season of the series on Paramount+. An incomprehensible move, and it is not very clear how it will benefit the visibility of a series that, to begin with, few people remembered at this point.

Ark: The Animated Series was originally announced in December 2020, with an estimated release date for 2022, after which we hadn’t heard anything about it. So, whether it has turned out well and this is a concatenation of strange decisions, or it hasn’t turned out too well and they want to bury it, is something we will still have to wait almost a month to find out. Unless you live in North America.
