Love Lies Bleeding is not just any movie. It is produced by A24, the studio behind gems like Everything, Everywhere, and its director is Rose Glass, the filmmaker behind Saint Maud. In addition, beside Kristen Stewart is Katy M. O’Brian, an actress known for appearing, among other productions, in The Mandalorian.
The synopsis of Loves Lies Bleeding can be summarized as a thriller described as an electrifying love story between Lou, the lonely gym director, and Jackie, an ambitious bodybuilder who is heading to Las Vegas in search of her dream. But their love ignites the flame of violence, dragging them deep into Lou’s criminal family.
The movie has a release date of January 20, 2024, but exclusively for the prestigious Sundance Film Festival. We don’t know the theatrical release yet, but A24 has closed a deal with Discovery to release all its productions on HBO Max, so we will see it on this platform at some point.
