As a parent, you always want to know where your kids are irrespective of their age. Improved smartphone OSs and faster networks have made it easier for you to keep an eye on the whereabouts of your kids. Here are some great apps that can reduce your stress as a parent.
Child safety apps
1. iHound
This app uses geo-fencing technology that can send you alerts based on the positions of your kids. Moms can easily know when their kids arrive at or leave school. The good thing about iHound is that it runs in the background. So, you can use it without worrying about battery drain.
2. Family Tracker
This app works on iPhone and uses GPS data. For Family Tracker to work your children should have an iPhone as well. The app sends a ping to the iPhone you are trying to track and based on the other user’s GPS location it sends a message to your phone.
3. Nearparent
This is a great GPS-enabled app that can create a network of family members so that instant help can be offered if your kids are ever in danger. Kids can simply click on the help button when they need help and subsequently the app alerts all adults within the network.
4. Glympse
You can use the Glympse app when your kid has a smartphone as well. This app is completely web-based which helps a lot. You just need to click on a link to see a detailed map of your kids’ movement. It is even possible for you to turn off the app anytime you want.
5. MobileSpy
This is the next generation of smartphone monitoring software. MobileSpy can keep a log of every text, call, internet access and GPS locations made by the monitored phone. Parents will have a password for the Mobile Spy website where they can review all the logged activities.
