There are few things funnier in this world than asking artificial intelligence to do things. It’s true that ChatGPT sometimes impresses, but when one analyzes in detail a work created by an AI… the result is a bit of a mess.

Many influencers and enlightened people in the technological world have been trying to sell us day after day that AI is the future of the economy and society. That its use will transform every aspect of our world and that nothing will be the same.

And while it is true that AI will gradually be introduced in more sectors and in more tasks to improve and streamline processes (and to improve them, it must be said), the reality is that artificial intelligence is not good for everything.

A diabolical Heidi because of AI

A video of Heidi that was made using artificial intelligence is going viral. Several tools were asked to reimagine Heidi, creating a new intro to a cartoon series that is more than 40 years old.

As with AI, it has no soul and doesn’t know what it’s doing. The only thing it does is to imitate and steal our art as best it can. And hence the garden of horrors it has created with Heidi.

What should be a peaceful mountain village with Heidi, Clara, grandpa and sheep, has become a Lovecraft story with killer animals, hordes of people with torches and diabolical faces.

Not only humans are scary, the animals themselves are the proof that the AI doesn’t know what a cow is or what a sheep is. They are just monsters with infinite teeth and limbs.

If Heidi were to return to television in this form it is possible that the adaptation would succeed more than anyone might think at first, since fear and terror now sell very well.
