‘We know it’s important for our community to be informed when AI is used to generate content,’ said Ceci Mourkogiannis, Vice President of Product at Snapchat, also confirming that every AI-created video will carry a visible watermark, even when downloaded or shared. Additionally, Snapchat emphasizes that its models have undergone rigorous testing to prevent the creation of harmful content.
Snap is the latest tech company to announce a text-to-video generator. Other platforms, such as TikTok and Instagram, are also developing this type of AI text-to-video technology, and companies like Adobe and OpenAI plan to launch similar tools soon.
