This new functionality of the Google Play Store is very simple and incredibly useful at the same time.
But it could be better, let's face it.

Google is allowing users to download multiple apps at the same time from the Play Store, a big change from the previous behavior of the app store, which only allowed one download at a time. Now, the company is widely extending this useful functionality to Android users.
According to 9to5Google, which was the first website to detect the release of this useful feature, the current limit is two simultaneous downloads at a time. When you add more than two apps to the download queue, the rest of the apps will appear as “Pending” and will start downloading once the previous ones have finished (as it used to happen when downloading more than one app).
However, this new functionality does not currently extend to app updates. As 9to5Google points out in their article, implementing this feature in app updates would be more convenient, although it is likely that Google will eventually do it.

Google has been working on allowing users to download more than one application at a time for several years, without the idea taking off completely. As it is obvious, to check if this functionality is already available on your Android device, you just have to go to the Play Store and download two or more applications at the same time.
