Pokemaniacs of all ages were biting their nails. It’s February 2024 and we still don’t know if a big game, a remake, a sequel, or absolutely nothing is coming. Luckily, Nintendo has announced a new Direct today for both their partners and ‘Pokémon’, where, supposedly, they will solve all the mysteries. There are rumors that it’s the return of Pokémon Black/White, some believe that this year they will take the time to think about the direction of the franchise, and others are convinced that it’s time for the third game that accompanies Scarlet and Purple. We’ll have to wait and see.

Direct, I choose you!

It will be on February 27th at 15:00 in Spain, one hour more than grateful. Of course, there are already those who believe that this is going to be the first glimpse of the Switch 2, but Nintendo does not usually give that kind of surprises out of the blue, especially in a Direct aimed at announcing only games. The livestream can be watched on YouTube and, supposedly, it should be a statement to show who’s in charge after the success of ‘Palworld’.

Just in case, and as advice, I would keep an eye out for updates on Pokémon Go, Pokémon Unite, and Pokémon Sleep. And if something else comes along, joy for everyone. If we expect something, it’s a spin-off of the saga in the style of ‘Arceus’ or ‘Let’s go’ rather than a main series game. After all, two years have passed since ‘Scarlet/Violet’ and it’s about time. Now we just have to cross our fingers not to end up disappointed. Pokémon, use Null Disappointment! It’s not very effective…
