In a highly anticipated announcement for the gaming community, Take-Two Interactive has confirmed that Grand Theft Auto VI will be released in the fall of 2025, between September 22 and December 21, according to its financial report for the third quarter of the fiscal year 2025. This statement comes after months of uncertainty and concern among players, who feared a possible delay until 2026 due to the lack of news about the title. Although nothing is yet known about the PC version.
Since the release of the first trailer in December 2023, official information about GTA VI has been scarce. The lack of updates had fueled distrust within the community, which was eager for more details about the game. However, with this confirmation, Take-Two not only reassures its followers but also promises an impressive launch campaign and other major titles for the coming year.
A year filled with great games for the company
In addition to GTA VI, Strauss Zelnick, CEO of Take-Two, has mentioned that the company plans major releases in 2025, including Civilization 7 scheduled for February 11, Mafia: The Old Country in summer, and Borderlands 4 before the end of the year. These releases highlight a year that could be a turning point for Take-Two, positioning the company on an upward trajectory within the video game industry.
Zelnick has also expressed the intention to invest prudently in the development of new projects, while highlighting the great potential of Zynga to promote new mobile franchises, driven by the success of recent titles. This focus on expansion and diversification could translate into increases in net earnings for fiscal years 2026 and 2027, reflecting Take-Two’s ambitions to further consolidate itself in the competitive realm of interactive entertainment.
