Warner is having a very rough year in terms of superhero releases. While Disney is facing complications with its Marvel releases, DC Comics’ situation is much more evident: neither Shazam! 2 nor The Flash have been successful at the box office. And we fear the same might happen again with Aquaman and the Lost Kingdom.

However, HBO Max provides an interesting window for DC’s releases to find their audience. This has already happened with The Flash and has occurred on other occasions and platforms, such as the case of The Little Mermaid on Disney Plus. This is the only way Blue Beetle, the movie released on August 18th, can potentially find success again. But when will it be available for streaming?

Blue Beetle arrives on digital platforms

Blue Beetle received very positive reviews upon its release, and those who have seen it confirm that it is the best DC movie in a long time. However, this hasn’t translated into a successful box office performance, as it has only grossed $119 million from a base budget of $104 million. But for those who haven’t seen it, there’s an opportunity coming soon with its arrival on streaming.

As announced on its official account, the movie will premiere on digital platforms on September 26th. In other words, it’s almost here.

However, the message in the video doesn’t provide much more information beyond stating that it will arrive in digital format. In other words, we don’t know if it will be on HBO Max or on paid platforms for rental and purchase. The most likely scenario is the latter, with a potential arrival on HBO Max a month later. We would have likely heard more if it were coming directly to the streaming platform, but we’ll keep you informed.
