With Android 16 on the horizon, many users are wondering whether their smartphones will support the upcoming version. While the final list of features hasn’t been confirmed, manufacturers have already outlined which devices are expected to receive the update based on current policies. Here’s what we know so far.
Google leads the rollout
As usual, Google’s Pixel devices will be the first to receive Android 16, starting the same day it officially launches. All models from the Pixel 6 to the upcoming Pixel 9 are on the list, along with both generations of the Pixel Fold and the Pixel Tablet.
Samsung promises broad support
Samsung continues its commitment to long-term updates, with Android 16 coming to most Galaxy S, Z, A, and M series phones, including even some mid-range models like the Galaxy A15 and M34. The rollout is expected to start in late 2025 and extend into 2026.
Xiaomi and Motorola bring cautious optimism
Though Xiaomi hasn’t confirmed dates, flagships like the Xiaomi 15 Ultra and budget options like the POCO X6 Pro 5G are likely to get Android 16. Motorola, typically slower with updates, is expected to deliver Android 16 to its G, Edge, and Razr lines gradually.
OnePlus, Realme, Oppo, and others
OnePlus maintains a solid update track, with all recent flagships and Nord models expected to upgrade. Realme, Oppo, Vivo, and Nothing are also planning updates, focusing on their higher-end devices. Nothing, in particular, may be among the first after Google to push the update.
Overall, Android 16 will reach a wide range of devices, although exact timing will vary by brand and region.
