Few video games manage to reach 20 years with good health. Practically none do so with excellent health. However, World of Warcraft continues to demonstrate that this is possible. Approaching its twentieth anniversary on November 23, it is surprising that the game continues to operate and amaze the public. Always offering its players something new to keep them hooked a little longer.
The upcoming expansion of World of Warcraft is called The War Within, but we’ve already talked about that. However, that’s not the only thing Blizzard has prepared for its most iconic game in 2024. Because even before The War Within, there’s an update coming that will make veterans jump out of their chairs. Because World of Warcraft: Mists of Pandaria is coming back, one of the most beloved expansions of the game. Only with a new twist.
World of Warcraft: Mists of Pandaria will return with a remix that will allow us to re-experience the expansion on World of Warcraft servers. The catch is that we’ll need to create a new character to do so. In return, we’ll gain much more experience than usual and get loot more abundantly, with more powerful effects than usual. With Mists of Pandaria, we can expect the arrival of abilities such as creating storms, transforming into a sphere of pure light, or conjuring powerful shields.
The downside is that all of this will be exclusively confined to the Mists of Pandaria remix. Unable to carry all of this over to our main game. To compensate, all this loot can be converted into a new currency, bronze, to acquire toys, mounts, and cosmetics. This is appropriate since all this loot will be transmogrifiable with the aesthetics of past expansions.
If you’re eager to play the Mists of Pandaria remix, it will be released in 2024. Unfortunately, we still don’t have a specific date for its launch. However, everything indicates that it will be before The War Within, the next expansion of the game.
