If you can remember, Henry Cavill announced that he would love to play in the Red Dead Redemption series in a statement. Even though a couple of months have passed after his statement, a recent post on 9GAG has fired up the conversation again. Really, though, wouldn’t seeing a Henry Cavill Red Dead Redemption series collab be nice?

The Henry Cavill Red Dead Redemption collab wouldn’t be a surprise

Henry Cavill isn’t just a superhero on-screen; he’s also a gamer at heart. He made a name for himself as Geralt of Rivia in “The Witcher” series on Netflix. But it’s not just that – he’s taken on various roles in movies and TV shows. He’s even played Sherlock Holmes and Napoleon Solo. His love for Red Dead Redemption 2 makes him a great fit because he understands the game from a fan’s perspective.

Before diving deeper into Henry Cavill joining the Red Dead Redemption world, let’s talk about the game itself. It came out in 2018 and is a prequel to the original game from 2010. It follows a cowboy named Arthur Morgan in a time when the age of outlaws and gunslingers is fading away. Arthur faces tough choices about his honor and makes big sacrifices as he travels through a fictional version of the American West in the late 1800s.

How did the Henry Cavill Red Dead Redemption rumors start?

During an event for “The Witcher” season 2, someone asked Henry Cavill if he’d like to see more video games turned into Netflix shows, and he said, “I’ve just started playing Red Dead Redemption 2. I know I’m a bit late to it, but I’m really enjoying it, and so something like that would be great to make into a movie.” This got fans excited. Cavill has skills that match Arthur Morgan’s character, like riding horses, fighting, and nailing a Southern accent.

But it’s not just Arthur Morgan he could play. There’s also John Marston, the main character from the first Red Dead Redemption game and a big part of the second one. John is a cowboy turned rancher trying to live peacefully with his family after a life of crime. Henry Cavill’s looks, with his dark hair and build, make him a good fit for this role too. People who worked on Red Dead Redemption 2 have also shared their thoughts. Mick Mellamphy, who plays Sean MacGuire in the game, thinks Henry Cavill would be a great fit and even joked that he’d make a handsome Sean MacGuire.

We should remember that Henry Cavill hasn’t confirmed any Red Dead Redemption 2 show or movie happening. However, video games are turning into TV shows and films like “Halo” and “The Last of Us.” This trend makes it likely that Red Dead Redemption 2 could follow suit. When that happens, Henry Cavill has already shown he’s eager to be part of it, which is exciting for fans.

A Henry Cavill Red Dead Redemption collab sounds interesting and great. We still don’t have any official announcements yet, so we need to wait and see if it actually happens or not. There are many other strong candidates for the role too.
